where i shop, part 1.

Sweet Tater, on Mulberry below Houston, churns out some of the most flattering clothing for women I have ever found in the city. Their eponymous line is sold out of a small storefront, which also sells brilliant finds from Greece and old southern estates and smells like a country store full of wicker and cooking spices. They also have a vast collection of vintage boots in mint condition, and my motto has always been, if you are going to tuck your jeans in and wear the ensemble with a plaid shirt and arty scarf like everyone else, at least make sure your boots are one- of-a-kind. Problem solved at Sweet Tater.
